Opal’s has Earl Brain washed.

If Earl tried to tell Opal that he thought she was a wonderful wife and homemaker, she would make some kind of nasty remark. I don’t blame him for not articulating his feelings.

Earl is doing Opal a favor by not giving her a big head.

Her sister is just a bad influence.

If Earl paid Opal a compliment. What would she say?

“WHAT HAVE YOU DONE?”

No! That kind of announcement at this point could only mean that one of you is terminally ill!

Fight it, Earl, or next thing you know, she’ll want ANOTHER compliment.

If I were to tell my wife that, she would just agree with me.

Some marriages are just like that. I think he figures if he ever compliments her, she’ll leave him for someone better. Starts when they are young and continues FOREVER!

I’m so glad my husband is the opposite of this.
