Adam: I suddenly feel like I'm under the watchful gaze of a predator-like vigilante. Perhaps if I mind my P's and Q's, he'll move along.
Clayton: Fear not, citizen.
There are a lot of us who read books, and often for good reason. I was reading a book at a table in a restaurant, waiting for a friend (they seated me, and it was not busy). When she arrived, I put the book aside. We ate, paid the bill, and walked out the door. As I reached the sidewalk I remembered my book, and returned. Gone.I asked the manager, and he said the bus boys just wipe everything on the table into the tub – water glasses, silverware, and everything else. So, I lost a $10 paperback, instead of an expensive Nook.
Wish I could still read books. Since my retinal surgery, it’s been very hard to do that. Know there are books with large type but haven’t looked into them yet to see if there’s anything worth reading.
I will always stick to regular books, and I’m not that old i just think that I get more than enough screen time doing homework and reading comics. Plus I love the feel of a book.
Last week was vacation – looking for something to do and went oh! there’s a book I haven’t read. Read a few books last week. … Didn’t get anything else done. But it felt good to curl up in the chair to read. @Dani Rice I would have asked that manager to get one of those busboys to find my book. And stayed there until they brought out to me….. I get cranky….

And that’s all Batman does in the comics, good job on the accurate portrayal!

What’s that in Adam’s hands? Kindles and Nooks don’t open up like that.
