Eno: I was on hold for hours with your automated customer service before the call was dropped! I want to see a manager!
Clerk: Fine. Please hold.
Eno: What?
Clerk: Shhh! You're on hold.
You’re going to get lousy customer service from just about any company you deal with. If I get bad service, I simply don’t deal with them a second time.
I haven’t shopped at Smears since around 1980 due to their less than stellar customer service. I have never encountered as rude customer service as i did there (and that was trying to get an appliance repaired under one of their service contracts). They must’ve pissed him off big time…can’t say i haven’t enjoyed this…
I prefer to shop locally, and avoid “mega stores” of any kind! In my lifetime, I never purchased anything from Wally World, Home Despot, Sammy’s Clubhead, or other similar “chains”..If I do have a problem with a purchase, and it’s rare, I want to be able to be face to face with the owner or major decision maker…
Mr McCoy and it seems, many others are not happy campers when it comes to Sears. when they closed down their main store in our city, deciding to keep the smaller outlets in the malls that are a 2-3 hour drive (if I had a car)…. they removed all the nice stuff and brought in all the cheap junk and said it was “50% or more off”. haven’t shopped there since. But then I can’t get out to any of the out lying malls. And catalogues? phooy.

There’s a reason businesses like this go go down the tubes. These attitudes carry over to salespeople, quality of goods, etc.

Glenn McCoy must have a problem getting his refrigerator fixed from “Smears” just like the thousands of other customers. Goodbye Sears.
