After a quick huddle, they agree to try “Ni Norm. Hi Carole.Do you need some coffee?”(Marvin insists on leaving out “… to help you sober up?”
Maybe they also ate a picnic lunch on the way home. I think I spy a baguette in their groceries, so if they have pate and some nice runny brie, a bit of fruit and some wine, they are all set!
They look to be SoCal transplants.An old surfer dude, over the crest for the last time, and his beach babe.Basking in the memories of beach bonfires and BYOB parties.(sigh)…good times…

Husband and I had a Nash Rambler when our son was a baby, We would go to the drive-in movie and put the front seat down and sit on the back seat with our legs stretched out.
I was just wondering if they paused on their own lawn or someone else’s?
Around here, very few folks have front lawn (I’d never buy a house with any front or back). I just want some fruit trees, a few things for the birds (yellowbell and sunset lantana) and possibly something for shade (prickley pear is good for a garden seat).
The Crosbys have their nerve taking the best corner lot to take their ease! Marvin and Ethel secretly wanted to do that, but instead decided to get the Crosbys to get up on the pretense of inviting them in for coffee.The Crosbys have turned the corner and landed in hot water on the block!

They had to leave the beach early.While laying on the shore several folks tried to put them back in the water.Mistook them for beached whales.
