Heart: Sheesh! All that reading and I got a c-minus on my book report! Heart: What was the point?! Forced to read a book when I could just as easily watched the dvd! Dean: I guess it was supposed to expose you to the joy of reading. Heart: it's "joy" like that that drives us kids right to the boob tube.

Heart doesn’t live in our time period i don’t think. When Television is crappy. Then again, the artist isn’t allowing the girl to growup and she been living out her life at the same age…I’d be bored with alot things..

I hope Heart learns that the book is nearly always better than the movie; AND the joy of reading!

My daughter always loved to read. She read the Rings trilogy, and Harry Potter books, before she was 10, and loved every word. She will watch movies too, even with subtitles. I’ve noticed that most kids love to get lost into the story a book weaves.

The cat is wide awake in panel two and seems sound asleep in panel three. How typical for a cat.

I love to read - ever since I was a little kid. HOWEVER - I HATED being FORCED to read, as in “you MUST read THIS book and write a report”

Some people hate Charlotte’s Web because the animals talk, and that’s ungodly. I like to call these people, religious morons.

jcc21 > EXACTLY ! I love to read myself, but not when I’m TOLD to read. Seems to me when they “encourage” you to read, it accomplishes the opposite.
