This may be long but it’s worth it. From Mark Twain: “the Story of the old Ram” … and he lit on old Miss Jefferson’s head, poor old filly. She was a good soul–had a glass eye and used to lend it to old Miss Wagner, that hadn’t any, to receive company in; it warn’t big enough, and when Miss Wagner warn’t noticing, it would get twisted around in the socket, and look up, maybe, or out to one side, and every which way, while t’ other one was looking as straight ahead as a spy-glass. ‘Grown people didn’t mind it, but it most always made the children cry, it was so sort of scary. She tried packing it in raw cotton, but it wouldn’t work, somehow–the cotton would get loose and stick out and look so kind of awful that the children couldn’t stand it no way. She was always dropping it out, and turning up her old dead-light on the company empty, and making them oncomfortable, becuz she never could tell when it hopped out, being blind on that side, you see. So somebody would have to hunch her and say, “Your game eye has fetched loose. Miss Wagner dear”– and then all of them would have to sit and wait till she jammed it in again–wrong side before, as a general thing, and green as a bird’s egg, being a bashful cretur and easy sot back before company. But being wrong side before warn’t much difference, anyway; becuz her own eye was sky- blue and the glass one was yaller on the front side, so whichever way she turned it it didn’t match nohow.

There is an attractive actress in a major rôle on primetime TV who appears to have a glass eye (or at any rate one that looks unusual and doesn’t match the other). And I know someone in Real Life who has one….

But, as for this guy: buzz off, freak, before I bust it for you!

Sisyphos said, about 7 hours ago….There is an attractive actress in a major rôle on primetime TV who appears to have a glass eye……..

Bet you’re thinking Sandy Duncan… always played (and was) the cute strawberry blond girl-next-door… did a few movies, had her own show, and did bits on Tonight and Laugh-in etc… have no idea what she’s doing now… think it was eye cancer… at first her eye tracked the good one, later not so much…….

Margueritem… I don’t think today’s FA grossed me out until you mentioned Mona’s toes. The thought of having to suddenly choose between the two in order to spare the life of my hamster, Homie, made me throw up in my mouth a little.

grapfhics… thanks for the Mark Twain. The world needs a little more daily philosophy in the Twain-vein… puts things into perspective.

No, TruckDriverFritz, not Sandy Duncan (though you are right about her having a glass eye); I’m referring to someone current….

New Dick Tracy is up. Why no new Frog Applause?

Well I was saving this for tomorrow’s installment, but I’m gonna go ahead and post it now. I reserve the right to re-post it tomorrow:

Teresa recently made the mistake of giving me positive reinforcement for my monster movie-related comments and links.

And she recently introduced y’all to the Cookie Monster on Crack:

    http://obituarytypo.blogspot.com/2010/03/creature-from-haunted-sea-1961.html

Therefore, I have uploaded the trailer for this cheesy film. Enjoy….

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=o0B8fRiWBgk

Stay tuned, ‘cause I know I have a “Monster From Green Hell” trailer around here somewhere.

(PS: Please note that his is not my normal YouTube channel. This is the one that I reserve for videos containing content which might get taken down due to a copyright complaint. If you want to see my “real” YouTube channel, get on there and search for “formerlyflightsuit”)

Let’s see, Teresa wears a patch over her left eye; Creepy Dude’s glass eye appears to be on which side? Coincidence? I smell a plea for acceptance; a cry for help; a prayer for tolerance.
