I moved my mom’s old piano (from the early 1900’s) from her house to mine. Had a professional check it out first and he said it was in great shape and the old pianos have a rich sound that you just can’t get in modern ones. Best decision I’ve made in a while.

I had piano lessons from age 10 to 14. If I’d had access to a teacher who taught something besides Mozart, Beethoven, Bach, Chopin and on and on and on, I might have actually enjoyed it and something might have stayed with me.

When I asked for something modern (1964 – The Beatles) she gave me some 40’s boogie-woogie.

We had a hundred year old upright grand…had a grand piano harp standing upright in it. Beautiful sound.
