I cannot nderstand this strip. I find that the older recipes are still far superior to the modern cook books.

You are so right Gweedo Murray, there is not a trace of the british, as I ask before is this New Jersey or what?? It sure isn’t the Andy Capp from old. Have to except it and carry on.

Sounds like a recipe for disaster to me.

gosh, the fact that Andy drinks at a ‘pub’ and reads the London Mirror and one of the characters is the ‘vicar’ and andy & his wife call each other ‘pet’ and afternoon ‘tea’ is mentioned here and there and andy’s favorite sport is soccer………

Maybe it’s time for Flo to swallow her pride and take a cooking class. She should be thankful that Andy has stood by her all these years despite her lack of cooking skills.

Julia Child would not have become the great cook that she was, if her husband had soft soaped her all the time about the quality of her failed souffles and crêpe suzettes. British cooking is notoriously unpalatable for just this reason. Men of the British isles, stand up and be heard!

Andy, once again we salute you for doing the right thing in a difficult situation. And to Flo, just a tip, more butter! As Julia said “With enough butter, anything is good”.

Andy tells it like it is…

With the way Julia Child and other old timers cook evan current cooks I can’t eat any of it. They can’t cook healthy enough too much fat. Flo’s receipe’s(sp) from generations all they know is fatty cooking. How does Andy keep the weight off?

We here have to alter receipe’s(sp) to make more healthy with less fat. Sorry I didn’t do spell check first just posted. Some letters gets confusing on sequence.

Flo, serve Andy lousy foods instead of fancy and delicious foods.

Andy’s just trying to be helpful by suggesting a book title. Flo takes everything wrong.
