I met Brian Basset in a bookstore once while buying one of his books (no idea why I picked it up in the first place) and no it wasn’t a book promotion tour either. Anyways he drew Nick in the book and that is what I still think the kid should look like…

The kid is Walt Kelly’s Grundoon, without the ears, but a bigger vocabulary. Grundoon spoke in four letter words.
