It isn’t the doctor that he is scared of, it is the news the doctor shares that scares him.

I feel like there’s a little context missing. I knew Sergio had diabetes, but what’s precipitating the sudden need for Gracie to call the doctor? Has Papi been stalling? Don’t recall that being mentioned before.

My father didn’t like going to the doctor and I believe it’s because of the restrictions the doctor imposed to increase longer life. So grouchiness is a byproduct of doctor’s orders

I’m only scared of my doctor if I run into him while I’m out eating/drinking.

I was diagnosed as diabetic back in ‘03. It took a bit to adjust my eating habits (I miss chocolate covered peanuts) but I found loads of good info on USDA web sites. My Doc caught it early on; I don’t need insulin shots. If you’re diagnosed, don’t freak, Talk to your Doc, check out the Web sites and continue your life. BTW, if a Web site is selling a “cure” be sure to double check the claims.

I am not afraid of my doctor. I would probably be dead right now after last week. I had heart attack a week ago and he had me rushed right to him for heart catheterization, artery was 100% blocked.
