The malapropisms kids use while learning the language are so much fun. Words like “awfuls” for “waffles” and “Anointed Stakes of America” made me laugh out loud. My mother told me she once wrote an essay on the copulation of Canada and how it grew bigger after the first world war. I never thought I’d get away with using that one, but I did.
This reminds me of the best spontaneous pun I ever made. We were driving along late at night, with a row of green lights for miles ahead, and my buddy said, “don’t those lights look blue at night?”
To which I replied, “no, that’s just a pigment of your imagination.”

Would somebody please post Lynn’s Comments? I’m laughing too hard to do it, and don’t want to get reamed again for not putting it in bold.

However, the sun won’t follow you any more if you’re driving west.
