Jon: Phone, find local fitness centers. Phone: Just a moment. Phone: I have located three. What would you like to do? Jon: I'd like to join one. Phone: YOU?! Jon: Yes, me! I'm very health conscious! Phone: Oh, really? You have twenty-seven pizza parlors on speed dial. Jon: My smartphone is smarter than I am. Garfield: How tough is that?

Gotta loathe these jokes of Smartphones being smarter than the Smartphone user.

If a smart phone was smarter than humans it would find a way of preventing its owner from giving it to their toddler to play with. (I’ve actually seen this happen and they had a nerve to tell their kid off for dropping it on the floor and shattering the screen.)

No, a smartphone is one that will not work while the owner is driving.

I disagree. The proof they are smartphones is that they have managed to get millions upon millions of people to not only buy them but become addicted to them as well.

Here is a test everyone should try with their “smart” phones:First, take the phone outsideSecond, remove any protective case from the deviceThird, lay the device on the pavementFourth, contact a paving company with a large rollerFifth, have the roller drive over the device. If the device is “smart”, it will get out of the way…

I don’t think Jon’s smart phone knows about Garfield or how much italian food he eats because it thinks the 2 of them have the same diet.
