That’s the trouble with the internet… it was enough that my friends used to tease and berate me because I didn’t watch the games, buy the t-shirts, and support the “local” (don’t get me started on that ) teams…or in fact pay any attention to what sport was being played, by whom, when, or where.And bad enough that I live about the same distance from both San Francisco and Oakland…. where loyalties split between the Giants and the A’s or the 49er’s and the Raiders have divided families and endangered friendships.

On the stupid internet I have friends all over the world.. and now when any sporting event pits one region against another, my total ignorance annoys people whom I care about on both sides.

I think, though, that in this contest, there is some sort of… I dunno…. biological imperative….that is to say, that if I wish to enjoy the continuation of life as I know it…I am required by nature, if not by law…to express the following sentiment"
