Iāve found that people with artificial intelligence become very loud when they talk, ācuz they really donāt have anything to say but still want it to sound importantā¦
Two different things. Artificial intelligence is what robots are programmed to have.
Fake intelligence is when I ā¦ erā¦ I mean somebody Googles something in order to be able to post about it in the forum, and everybody thinks I already knowā¦I mean, thinks he or she already knows the information.
NightGauntā¦.there are many levels between ānormalā and notā¦
and many different kinds and definitions of normality.
Of course, most people want, say, the ānormalā number of feet and eyes, a ānormalā blood pressure reading, etcā¦. and usually would rather have a so-called normal mental profileā¦attainable or not.
Some people want a ānormalā job, house, career path, etcā¦some donāt care.
Some consider ānormalā to include only those with all of the above, plus the same taste in clothing, music, movies, food, hobbiesā¦ even friends and lifestylesā¦
I donāt really have a problem with that, unless they make it apparent that they consider everybody else āabnormalāand have a negative opinion of abnormality.
In which case, Iām proud to be, as you put it, an outlier.
And when that sort of judgement extends to intellectual pursuits, political opinions, and choice of love partnersā¦ and their genderā¦. or physical perfection, skin color, religion, etcā¦
then I have a very negative opinion of their definition of normalā¦.and I try to make that clear.
Please try to remember, too, that these forums are about making jokesā¦ using mental shorthand, twisting words to be funnyā¦. as long as the person addressed knows what is meant..
Youāre a smart fellow and your opinions can be enjoyable. But youāre very literal in your interpretationsā¦and not always cognizant of the off-kilter way something was meant. So I wish you;d please stop ācorrectingā others, and remind yourself that they might just be making a wry remark. Thanks!
After decades in the computer biz, my conclusion is that AI will never achieve their overhyped goal of true machine intelligence until they can first achieve true machine life. That goal is achievable with time based on how my Roomba seeks out its charging station when its power is low and on how industrial robots are used to assemble industrial robots. Until then, the closest weāll come to āartificialā intelligence is well-simulated intelligence.
