I used to think the pre-9/11 interrogation was intimidating enough, though I used to go across quite frequently. Since 9/11 NO WAY! I don’t need cheap cheese that badly!
I don’t have a passport either. Was adopted and can’t get a birth certificate dated within a year of my birth. Will never leave the country because I wouldn’t be able to get back in. Oh well, I guess I will travel the world “virtually”.
My husband was adopted and we got his. I had to write to two states – one where he was born and the other where the adoption was made. Maybe we just got lucky.
My mother was born at home in a tiny township just this side of the Canadian border in 1919. I doubt that she would get a passport, either. (she would be 95 so “could” still be alive.
Crossing the border isn’t that difficult so long as you don’t look nervous & don’t have anything to hide. I do it quite often, being a US citizen living in Canada. Gotta go back to see my family, you know. Plus, gotta love the shopping in the US (although now you can’t bring anything back (without declaring it & paying taxes on it) unless you spend over 24 hours in the US).
Got here too late to do anything but say hi to everyone. The kids decided to leave this evening and spend the night at my daughters house in Milwaukee. Then my son will go home from there. Been nice having them, but it will be nice to get some rest now that they are gone too. See you tomorrow.P.s. Dry, nail polish remover helps get super glue off. Not sure what it would do to a cats fur. I could check with Katrinka and Belle but I doubt that either of them would care much for it, and I bleed easily. lolHave a good night all.

I am really enjoying seeing so many different kitties in the strip lately……but those “mouses” sure are mean.

I wouldn’t either, he would be 111. Had to clarify that before somebody else did! lol

My Dad’s birth certificate was lost in a Mississippi River flood and he got a new B.C. and passport. It is possible if you want one.

You’re going to be there a while, I’m afraid Chesney. Krazy Glue is next to impossible to remove. I hope someone brings Chesney his supper.

Not to mention the window’s transition from blue sky to black indicating the passage from day to night? Simply sophisticated, eh?
