I had that awful image of thousands of little spidery babies crawling all over Mom’s back to stop Mom from eating them…Or the look of the nursery as the eggs are getting ready to hatch…It’s a good thing that spiders and mankind can’t reproduce. Ugh.

The real answer is, it’s possible, but not guaranteed. Birth is weird in a couple ways, and the likelihood of having a trait from a parent is one of them.
