This sentiment or the Democrat politicians distancing themselves from anything remotely liberal comes to no surprise. They’ve abandoned their liberal base in search of the mythical “undecided” voter back in the days of Clinton. The difference is Clinton had the charm and personality to make up for an otherwise lack luster campaign platform. The result is that the Democrats fail to rope in the “undecided” voters and fail to light a fire under their own base. Say what you want about the Republican/Tea Party (and I have), they at least play up to their base.
What drivel..“His health reform is imperfect but still a huge step forward – and it’s working better than anyone expected”.I’ve read that 3/4 of that have acquired insurance after implementation of the ACA were people that had lost it BECAUSE of the ACA. Part of that remaining 1/4% are prisons shifting the cost of medical care from the state to the federal government. The damage the law has done far outweigh whatever amount that 1/4 amount of people that have benefited from the ACA..Krugman is fueled by blind adoration and obviously willfully ignorant of reality..If Obama were a competent president, he would still have a Democrat majority like when he started.
^When will “conservatives” accept responsibility for the fact there WERE NO WMDS, and thousands of ours, and hundreds of thousands of innocents DIED for "W"s mess that is still not over precisely because of HIS administration’s total failures, well except for the huge profits Halliburton and their other “friends of Bush and Cheney” raked in?

When you govern against the will of the people, this is what happens at re-election time.
