I’ve head of it as “choking the chicken” Is “choking a legless chicken” some kind of code?

If he was sentenced to do this for all eternity, then why does Agnes speak in the past tense? He ‘made’ sandwiches? Is this that weird, grey-area ‘once upon a time’ version of eternity?

Yeah, there’s a rude meaning to choking one’s chicken, but I was trying to ignore it, cos it didn’t seem as though Tony knows that. …After all, he’s but an innocent lad.
