I wish I could be that sure. This woman seems to feel she owns the place and has the right to demean everyone there. From experience, the social security checks of the elders often do not go toward the children they’re staying with. And in the case of this cartoon, the older couple has complained about depending on their daughter and her husband to survive. The mother-in-law’s solution is to harass her son-in-law. This is why I say she needs to either change her tune or find a new place to live.
