@QueenofAmericaYour new fosters are adorable. Wish I lived nearer to you, I’d take the Siamese mixes in a nanosecond.

Ladykat: I think they will go quickly. Most of the Siamese mix kittens do. I worry about the black one, tho. People either love or hate them. I love them.

But- here is a story from about 18 months ago. A nice couple came in looking for a kitten. We had 3 black brothers. The lady said she was not real fond of black cats but she would look at them anyway.

She held the first one and it was L O V E!! Then her husband held another one. Again, love in the form of purring.

As we were writing up the papers, the lady said she could not stand to see the last one left behind. They took ALL 3.

They named them Sammy, Davis and Junior. They joined big black labs named Onyx and Ebony. She still sends me pics and everyone loves everyone else.

We gave them the last kitten at no charge because we were so happy they all went together.

Gotta leave for a doc appointment.

    Love all the pictures!

Queen great story! I have 3 black cats. One all black, with just a few white hairs on her chest, My Molly Girl, the biggest “lover kitty”, She’s my girl! Then 2 others, black and white, and two grays. One black and white and the one gray and white are the “bros” youngest son and I bottle fed, they were found under our Catalpa tree.

I must get some to those pictures posted!

Annie has the patience of a saint with that sarcastic Chesney!!! So little Oliver will not get his limo ride after all. I too miss my black beauty Dale. My twins, Oliver and Tyler, had a black sister but I was not allowed to adopt unneutered female with a male…so we ended up with the bros.

We’ve got a feral all black cat (except for his underfur, which is white). He was found being raised bu some raccoons. The name is Rocky, of course.

I love black kitties, too! Both of my guys, Big Man and Bucky, are black. Big Man is the most affectionate cat I’ve ever had, and I’ve had cats since 1977. Bucky is…well, a bit weird, but loveable in his own way!

My very own (as opposed to the cat my daughter called hers) was a black one. Buckwheat came to us as a very tiny, still should have been nursing, baby. He had major eating issues. He ate EVERYTHING. Not just chewed, but ATE. Ear plugs that my husband brought home from the base, clothing, cords, plastic bags. We had no cords he could get at. Everything was behind those hiding things you stick on walls. We could not leave bread wrappers or anything on the counter. He at the trash bags so we had to put the trash can in the guest bathroom. He ate a very expensive leather briefcase handle. He had 3 surgeries to take out earplugs. Cannot tell you how many nights he spent at the vet office getting cod liver oil or something to get him to poop out plastic wrappers. The vet called him a garbage can cat. Those surgeries were $$$$. The vet suggested therapy but I couldn’t afford it back then. What killed him? Cancer. Go figure. He was my baby and I loved him. He let me vacuum him, rock him upside down like a baby and he slept on my head. I always said he came to us for a reason: nobody else in their right mind would have put up with or paid for his issues.

QueenofAmerica, Bucky does some strange things, too. Black cats seem to be that way, they’re either the nicest, calmest most affectionate cats, or totally nutty. Never an in between. We have both, fortunately. It balances out. There’s never a dull moment.

Our current black cat is Scooter Pie. He was one we brought home to foster from the shelter but when it was time to go to PetCo for adoption day, my husband put the kibosh on that. Scooter was here to stay. Along with Moose, the one from the previous month he said had to stay. Scooter can be skittish but he loves his daddy! Follows him, knows when it’s bedtime, time to get up (at least for Scooter, which is about 2 AM. Brad tries to sleep till about 4 AM but Scoots isn’t always cooperative.
