There’s this woman I see everyday at a bus stop and she says she’s homeless but everyday she is wearing something different. It makes me wonder where all these clothes are.
What is it about Americans? Most of us would rather stiff a dozen truly needy people than accidentally give a few bucks to somebody who didn’t meet our abitrary definition of “poverty.”

You say this so well. All the things that go through my mind too and in the end I still give something. Who are we to judge?

You either give to all who ask or none. I choose to give to the food bank.
