but let’s see…. my watch and the microwave need manual adjustment…plus a nudge here and there the rest of the year….The VCR too… but only cos I shut off the automatic DST so it would stop changing on the 20th Century dates….
The coffeemaker keeps time so badly I don’t care what time it says….wish I could gather up and use all the hours it has lost.
But if I actually do care what time it is, I look at my phone or my computer.
I have an alarm clock that resets on the wrong day so I’ve had to reset it 4 time a year. No more of that. I bought a new one yesterday and reset everything else that needed resetting yesterday.
Only the computer, TV and phones change themselves. They are also the only atomic clocks we have that are correct. According to my weather station, I live 2 time zones to the West. The Nabi tablet is the same way. This is the only day light savings time that has worked out for me. Little man was at a sleepover so we both got an extra hour this morning. Yay
LadyKat….. maybe there are LOTS of them…We think they look at us so innocently…..but they do keep their hands in front of their faces.
Maybe somewhere there’s a secret spot where they’re surreptitiously stockpiling all those hours…..waiting for the day they have millions of them….And using time that we can’t even see or touch…..they’ll take over the Earth …."Ha! Pour water over MY head every morning, will you? Can’t you tell I’m steamed??All these years you’ve been making me boil!! "
Or just maybe to the punchline of one of my favorite jokes…the sort of joke that takes so long and is so inane everybody wants to bop me on the head when I finish telling it…so I won’t do it here!
I don’t like to move the hands backwards past the quarter, half, and three-quarter hour because of the chimes, so in the fall, I just stop the pendulum and wait an hour. Then a gentle nudge to set it in motion, a bit of tweaking to get the correct minute, and all is good…

Did you set your clocks back or do they all do it for you?

I do it, and I forgot last night, so I woke up early and did it as soon as I punched the on button on my coffee maker.

@Tony, NEITHER! In Arizona most of us don’t bother with that nonsense. We have plenty of sunshine ALL the time!

You could put lipstick on a clock, but it’s still a clock…........wait…. yes I got up at 2AM to set my clocks back.

I have tree clocks that I need to physically change, but every other device changes on it’s own.

I HATE Daylight Savings Time!
I don’t really understand why it is important to have sunset an hour later in the summer…
Or why it has to take up so much of the year.
Just get rid of the damned DST! (Of course, not applicable in Arizona or Hawaii, as I understand.)

sheldan, I locw DST. I can’t stand the change back to standard time. It gets dark far too early.

Just gave away the punch line, anyway….LOL
