Actually we revert to normal time when the sun is directly overhead at noon. Nothing is sabed, and the whole idea of daylight savings is a crock of crap and a waste of time.
Daylights savings time ended on Nov 2 it didn’t begin then.
We use daylight savings during the time of year when the days are longer so that rather than having the sun rise at, for example, 4 AM and set at 8 PM, our adjusted time has the sun rising at 5 AM and setting at 9 PM, allowing us to enjoy the hour of daylight we’d have lost while asleep. This also helps us save energy by reducing the number of hours we’d need lights on in our homes. There are far fewer people awake between 4 and 5 AM than between 8 and 9 PM.
