Rat's Presidential Platform If elected President of the United Sates, I, Rat, will buy 7,000,000,000 drones. That is the number of people an eye on one person. Monitoring everything that person does. And listening in on every phone call. And if that person does something displeasing, the drone will address the situation. Rat: P.S. I will control all the drones. Goat: I don't think I'll vote for you. Rat: Your drone will be very aggressive. Pig: I'm eating breakfast, drone!

If I spend all my time watching your drone, and my drone gets irritated at your drone, they can fight it out and I’ll go drink beer.

Rat is a typical politician — droning on and on.

I’m definitely NOT voting for Rat, either

A Drone for a Drone will leave the whole world Kaboom’ed.

Someone already voted for that kind of president…..
Sisyphos about 10 years ago
See? Now Pig is into the proper subservient spirit for Rat’s New Style Drone-ocracy! Vote for Rat, all ye who want to grovel!
Wasbluskies about 10 years ago
Most politicos buy as many of the drones as they can BEFORE the election. That’s usually how they get to BE politicos.

It is the responsibility of every citizen in our Utopian Society to be the police informant for every other. But we do not arm our drones. Only the trusted police will be armed, and are to be called in for a tactical strike when somebody speaks ill of the Glorious Leadership or does something that would displease them. What could possibly go wrong?
JusSayin about 10 years ago
Gun control means being able to hit your own drone.

I have a feeling this may come true, or something very close.
loveabulldesign about 10 years ago
Shouldn’t there be three drones in that dinner scene?

Don’t we have a Rat in the White House all ready plus the congress and the senate and every other branch of the government.
A_NY_Outlaw about 10 years ago
that sounds like it could be one very large remote controller.
TheSpanishInquisition about 10 years ago
Pretty solid encapsulation of a couple recent Presidents, actually…

CCTV, drones, NSA spying, then we see who the Government wants to eliminate; not bombs, but illegal lawsuits on specific groups, IRS targeting certain groups, EPA denying access to funds/research to certain groups, DoJ only prosecuting certain groups, taking money from one good and putting it into a social engineering plan and lying to taxpayers about it…..
Fido (aka Felix Rex) about 10 years ago
Obviously, this is fiction. Rat won’t be 35 years old in 2016, which is Constitutionally the minimum age for the President.

BTW, don’t forget that data center in Utah. They ain’t storing cookie recipes.

Did George Orwell help with today’s strip?
Alexander the Good Enough about 10 years ago
There are, by maybe 0.1% to 1% more or so. But that’s the 0.1% that controls these things for the rest of us, is it not?
claire de la lune. about 10 years ago
What if this is already happening, just not with drones?
HeckleMeElmo about 10 years ago
Ah, finally, there’s the earth-shattering kaboom.
HarunAm about 10 years ago
Hey! You pinched my plan without crediting me! Actually your version is somewhat different so OK. I have determined that the earth can only handle 1 billion humans so 6 billion must go. Terrorists, rapists and such are easy but I’m afraid that 6th billion might mean “deleting” people with noisy vehicles and people who annoy me in traffic. Of course I’d control who goes and who stays.

Rat controls the drones.

I would vote for him. The US is pretty much already like this anyway.

Libertarians like me take HUGE offense! I vote against Rat!
comicsnerd74 over 9 years ago
Also, isn’t that an inexact number, and if it was exact, how would he keep an eye on the people who work in the white house? And he would have to do 6,999,999,999 drones, because of himself.
PBS1! about 5 years ago
Dare I ask how Rat plans to afford that many drones?
Potato lover 7 months ago
I think rat would’ve made a better president
