The game is called never have I ever. You say never have I ever, then say something you never done. Then everyone who has done it has to raise her hand! Sally, you go first! Never have I ever kept my hand down in response to this question. Boom!
What’s the deal? Kids having big problems with basic logic? Convoluted statement, sure, but it’s about the past, so we’re not into paradox territory. If you’ve never been asked that question before (in a context that required similar reponse), you’ve never kept your hand down in response to it – so you keep your hand down. On all subsequent asks, you HAVE previously kept your hand down in response to it, so you raise it. Simple.
