He’s right, though: it didn’t manage to change the world.
It’s a bit like Mendel and genetics: he didn’t change anything at the time, because no one read his research. To be fair, he did hasten understanding by a few years much later on, because people who’d done similar research (and failed to understand the results) got round to actually searching for anything relevant.
The Greeks shared so much. Why not the computer? Where would we be if knowledge was shared and built upon….. ….. either back in the Dark Ages or living on Mars.
