During the Battle of Lepanto in 1571 the Loging Ottoman navy hurled oranges and lemons at Catholic soldiers when they ran out of weapons. Tunnel Joe Holmes spent 20 months tunneling out of the Maryland State Penitentiary, successfully escaping in February 1951 but only lasting two weeks on the run.
