Actually, just think of the effort involved in doing tiny, little sculptures, in a wet, cramped, dark, moving environment.

Dentists deserve credit for some of the least-appreciated Art-work ever done!

Mmmmm – reminds me, I haven’t made homemade mac & cheese for a while. Maybe sometime this week I will make a small batch. Hubby’s favourite is if I follow the Welsh rarebit recipe and then stir in macaroni and bake.

Sounds tasty to me. Quick your complaining many people are out of work and you are gainfully employed.

I’m surprised no one has posted Lynn’s Notes:This strip was missing for some reason. All we had in our archives was a newspaper clipping, and it had been edited down to fit into smaller format. Eventually, we did get our hands on a print with the top panels included. I redrew the whole thing (so Kevin could do the colouring and send it to the syndicate) and took the liberty of changing the punch line. What I wanted to do was connect “rat race” and “running through a maze” (like a mouse) with CHEESE! The original punch was weak: “We’re having cheese”. I mean, other than a rodent, who makes a meal out of just cheese? I think the new ending works better, but it’s still a stretch! This is an example of when I had a workable idea but couldn’t quite figure out how to word it!

Cute! When we have mac and cheese, we have it as a side dish. We just had it as part of Christmas dinner.

Definitely not rewarding for me. But to each her own. Some really enjoy it. My friend’s husband is a great SAHD. I started working PT a few months ago and have less time to do the same work and am still happier and have more energy! I know the shine wears off after a while- after the first 10 years of my old job- but I still love work!

The third choice: she’s making a joke by telling him that cheese is on the menu, since he’s talking about feeling like he’s a trapped rat…
