What in the world? For: Santa Oof! What's in this thing? Santa? Is that you? Is Eddie in there? Ha! Eddie, what were you thinking?! I wanna be an elf, Santa! What a little weird, huh, mom? You could have suffocated in their! No, I have lots of cookies. His Christmas over? Is there punishment coming? Yes, you're grounded. Me? Why? Eddie didn't wrap that box. Rats! I asked him to mom. Oh, we're out of cookies.

Typical ‘laughing cat’ that doesn’t think. A sealed box and standard wrapping paper – which is not porous – would limit the amount of air transfer. He could easily die of CO2 poisoning.

yeah. Eddie forgot the air holes. And if there had been any – Toby would have wrapped them shut. .. They’re boys. Their thinking brains haven’t been turned on yet. Next time Eddie should dress as an Elf and wear a big ribbon bow and tagged “For Santa”. Then sit under the tree. Easier for the potty breaks and raiding the fridge.

It’s not so much the lack of air, but the lack of toilet facilities that would be the real problem, especially after all those cookies.
