Amazing that when “W” held the White House, Article II of the Constitution meant “unitary Executive”, ignore Congress and the Judicary (you didn’t appoint on your side), and when they lost the White House they claim Article II doesn’t exist. Interesting.

Matt; being an avid HO model railroader, this gives me another idea for my layout! (I already have a vignette of GWB and Dick Cheney(as Preiser’s Grim Reaper) giving a speech in the town square!)

This from the cartoonist who compared Republicans to Nazis and voter ID to concentration camps.

Rad-ish’s summary is quite correct, and a lot of this “Republican” view started back with Ike’s era, and McCarthy. It’s interesting to read some of their diatribes from the 50’s and realize where the radicalism started.

^At the same time,it was IKE who sent the troops in to desegregate, before the Civil Rights Act signed by LBJ, losing the south for the Democrats. The 50’s were a time of extreme change, during a time of extreme growth and profits in the U.S.. Complexities are ignored by the simple-minded seeing only simple analysis and conclusions.
