I just watched the movie “Tombstone” again. I forgot what a great movie it is. It’s nowhere near historically accurate, but it’s still a good film. Here’s some trivia for you.
Billy Claiborne is actually played by Wyatt Earp IIIHenry Hooker is played by Charlton HestonFred White is played by Harry Carey, Jr.Johnny “Madcap” Tyler is played by Billy Bob ThorntonThe Narrator is Robert Mitchum
And:
I found two masonic references in the film.Sheriff Johnny Behan has a masonic emblem on his watch fob.In that scene with Turkey Creek Jackson talking to Doc Holliday, Jackson says, “I got lots of friends,” Jackson is wearing a masonic pendant on his neck.
Good morning, Vagabonds. Yesterday I did a lot of errands and because I did so much walking, I used my rolator. I found a DVD store that sold several season’s worth of “Game of Thrones.” I wanted to by “Unbroken” but couldnd’t remember the name of it and bought what I thought might be it: “To Run or to Die” with Dylan O’Brien. Also I bought T-shirts as gifts.
Then I realized I’d be late for my dinner appointment at friends’ home in the south end of town and it would take too much time to bring my rolator back to the hotel and return to take the bus. I didn’t wanna take my rolator on the bus because the doors might be too narrow , there are a lot of steps on the bus and too crowded. I took a chance anyway and someone was nice enough to help me up the bus steps with my folded rolator.
Unfortunately, the driver let me off at the wrong stop and I was far from my friends’ home. A locaal family called my friend and she came over and pushed me in my rolator as if it were a wheelchair – the difference is that I was using my legs at the same time. It was nice to see my friends – we only see each other once a year – and we took a selfie of all of us.I returned to the hotel VERY tired.
We watched a very disappointing movie last night……..Topper Returns. I thought it was the second in the sequel with George and Marion Kirby, but it had different characters. Not only was it disappointing in that, but it was terribly acted, written, and “wires” showing all over the place. Oh well.
Rita, we watched the original “Topper” just a little while ago. It is so much fun with Cary Grant.
Today I am going to help an older friend figure out how to access our church’s services online when she can’t get to the chapel. I have done it myself, but I’m not familiar with her computer, so it should be fun. She also wants me to take a look at her TV connections because she can’t figure out how to work the DVR, DVD and television correctly. She has the same cable service that I do, so I’ll see what I can do for her.
Nice brisk walk this morning. It’s 57 right now heading up to the lower 60’s again. We had overcast all day yesterday and rain last night, but this morning the sky is clear and clean and the sun is shining.
I’m baaaack. My IP has been out for a little better then a day..Rita, “Topper Returns” Is that the one with Joan Blondell, Roland Young, and Eddy Anderson?Eddy Anderson is of coarse is “Rochester” It was funny when he sees only Topper walking in the snow with the ghost, and sees two sets of tracks, “Dem ain’t rabbit tracks.”.Later dudes and dudets..ttfn
