Good morning Vagabonds..Temps in the single numbers, and there seems to be something floating out of the sky..Not a great deal going on around here, a good news day shall we say..I’ll be going now, the rest of the toons await me..ttfn
Mark, re War of the Worlds: The biggest problem was that the show that was on CBS at the same time as Mercury Theater was Edgar Bergen & Charlie McCarthy. Most people tuned them in at the top of the hour and switched to something else after about fifteen minutes when Bergen was done. The music that was playing as part of the play was pleasant, so a lot of people tuned into it and got caught up in the play. Those that did so missed the “Mercury Theater on the Air” announcement at the beginning and the next one wasn’t until 42 minutes into it. By that time the panic was on and a lot of people missed that one too. Amazing what fear will do to us, isn’t it.
My walking partner and I (and a few others) are heading for a huge swap meet today. It should be a lot of fun.
Not much happening today. I’m making a big pot of chicken soup. I usually do that so I can get my chicken cooked, and pulled from the bones and set in the freezer. That way the chicken is already cooked, and I just have to pull out a “serving” and add to a salad or tacos or casserole, etc. And the side benefit, I have tons of chicken soup in Tupperware in the freezer, too.
Dinner will be served around 6:30…………y’all come hungry!

Good morning, vagabonds. I did a lot of walking yesterday while doing errands. I bought a nice long-sleeved while guayabera.
