Good morning Vagabonds.It looks like we are going to get our snow storm today instead of tomorrow. In my area we are supposed to get 2 to 4 inches with high winds between 10 am and 4 pm today before turning to rain. Further north will get more. Good day to hunker down and stay warm.
Good Morning Vagabonds..Temps around 20, and we are not expecting snow from that coastal storm, how ever, there will be a small front coming through leaving an inch or so over night..Well I hope the Super Bowl dose not leave you deflated.Have fun all..ttfn
We had our cold wave last week, and this heat wave is terrific!!!! It got all the way down to 41 during the night!! Is that great or what! I’d say all the snow is about 75% melted, and we don’t have snow in the forecast for a while. We haven’t broken any “heat” records yet……seems that in the 1950’s it was much warmer.
Our swap meet outing fizzled yesterday. The place didn’t open until 4PM. So we postponed until next Saturday when it opens up at 6AM. We ended up at the “Old Mormon Fort” near downtown which is the first building built in what is now Las Vegas. It was built in 1855 out of adobe bricks and one (heavily restored multiple times) building still remains. They have built replicas of other parts of the fort to show what life would have been like, and the visitors center had a lot of information about the early history of the area. Interesting place.
We decided that we are going to have scheduled excursions to the various museums here in town. There is everything from the Atomic Energy Museum to the Neon Boneyard and lots in between. I hope we really do it, there’s a lot of stuff to see here.

My Yucatan vacation is winding down. I’ve bought all my souvenirs and some DVDs. Wed. AM i’m returning to Miami.
Good morning Vagabonds.We got about 4 inches from our nor-easter. Now they are talking about a blizzard from Mon. night to Wed. morning with 50 to 60 mph winds. No accumulation mentioned.
I found a rare, antique book on the internet that usually sells for 85 to 100 dollars about a particular old west outlaw I’m interested in. This book was published in the 60s and they were selling it for $25! It not only comes with the jacket, but is signed by the author! Boy, did I snatch that up!
