I’ve always said you have to get cats or dogs in pairs so they will keep each other company.

Once I was thinking of getting a cat and one animal shelter that I visited told me that since I was single and employed, I would have to adopt two cats instead of one, so they wouldn’t be bored when I was working. Fortunately, saner heads prevailed and they later did away with that idiotic policy, finally realizing that it is better for a cat to have a home and be a little bored some of the time than not have a home at all. Besides pets appreciate you more if you’re not around all the time.

Hey guys, I am new on GoComics, and I predict that Nate will get a 1 in a million chance of getting 2 dogs. I’ve seen him over the years, but I think this week will be much more interesting than the other years.
