I spent most of my life grossly underweight. I would have to eat until I was stuffed to keep from losing weight. I had a hard time finding clothes that fit, and being a guy, I was pretty much scorned as too scrawny. Then I hit middle age and my metabolism changed and I gained weight, then I quit smoking and gained even more. Now I’m overweight and can’t seem to lose weight no matter what I do. I’ve seen it from both sides of the problem, and neither one is good.
I was 130 when I went into the service. I was 140 when I left the service. I was 150 at 30. I was 160 at 40. I was 185 at 50. I was 210 at 55. I was 240 at 60. I was 275 at 65. I am 242 at 67. Miss Know-It-All knows.

Try to lose weight instead. If done right, you’ll gain at least a couple of pounds per week.

When people say it is a choice, must be for them but for the rest of us it certainly isn’t.
