Aunt Fritzi: So many of my musical heroes leaving me! I'm at that age now! My school-girl memories a little DIM-MER! Those old 45s DUSTIER...But...dust off those old memories...though those old rockers have moved on...their sweet songs PLAY ON! Music: Cherokee people. In the sunshine of your love. Stay with me. Brown sugar.

Musical heroes passing on… or divorcing when you thought love just might keep them together (almost as bad).

Considering you come from 1922, those records should have more “Charleston.”

That guy is not the one who passed on. That’s Mark Lindsay and Paul Revere was the one who died recently….

Mark Lindsay was so popular with the teeny-boppers that Revere added his name to the name of the band. “Paul Revere and the Raiders featuring Mark Lindsay”.In the clip, that’s Paul Revere on the keyboard.

Brown Sugar. Best song EVER. I’ve listened to it every day since 1971. My husband played it for me while I was in a coma in 1976 to see if it would wake me up. (It didn’t) I know every note, every beat every word. I’m 57. It came out when I was in grade 7

I very good friend owned a record shop a few years ago.He had mostly albums (33&1/3) almost as many 45’s andsome 78’s. He also had a large collection of collectables, like lunch boxes, games, pictures, posters and other bandrelated items. That was his only job and he did quite well!

I remember meeting John D. Loudermilk when I was in college. You can mention Paul Revere and Michael Nesmith all day, But John D wrote the song. Interesting story there behind “Cherokee People”
