The natives offered Larson a choice, death or boola-boola.

“Boola-boola”? Isn’t that the Yale fight song?

In the joke that I heard the choice was death or mooga-mooga. It has to be the same joke that I heard about 40 years ago.

Larson is one unlucky fool, tripping over rocks and vines, now getting “jumped” multiple times by the “boys”. Those deserting natives should have kept him around for more jumping fun….after all you have to soften the meat before it goes into the stew pot! Things are just about to hit the fan, so Tarzan and Letha had best get “it” on before it’s too late (for Letha, of course)! :)> JumpingLarsonFlashAGowa!!

@Galamatias we are on the same page. The version I heard was boola-boola, maybe the do that at Yale?. In any case the punch line is " death by boola boola" , which I will leave to the reader’s imagination.
