Good morning, Vagabonds. I finished reading about Quanah Parker in "The Last Comanche Chief: by Bill Neeley. He adopted a lot of white kids including a 2nd cousin on his mother’s side. Personally, I think the Oklahoma settlers treated the reservation Indians unfairly.

    Morning, Village!

Arye, here’s another good read for you, “Trail of Tears: The Rise and Fall of the Cherokee Nation,” by John Ehle.

I was born in Chattanooga and jerked up on a farm in Meigs County Tennessee in the foothills of the Smokey Mountains. Many family members still live in the Cherokee National Forest area. My first wife was part Cherokee.

    Good Morning, Vagabonds,

I, too, will look for that book, David. Thanks.

MMM has a dental appointment today. Which means I’ll go along as moral support.

Nothing much after that other than more closet re-arranging.
