Good morning,Vagabonds. Yesterday, the Miami Foundation took me and other seniors for a talk on ID theft, followed by excersizes done whole sitting in a chair.

    Happy Happy V Day Vagabonds,

Love your questions, Mark. I’ll let the others read them before I answer them.

Steak smothered in onion and mushrooms and twice baked potatoes with my killer Double Chocolate Cream pie for dessert! Is that a Valentines Day menu or what?

    Love you all!

    Happy Valentine’s Day, Vagabonds.

OK, Mark. I’ll take a stab at it.1. Red Skelton (although I found a reference that called Blake Edwards by that title)2. Mel Blanc3. The Lone Ranger (Clayton Moore on TV and William Conrad on the radio)4. The Wizard of Oz (the magic words that got Dorothy home).5. Star Trek, the original series. For “Next Generation” they used “where no ONE has gone before”.

Now for some Valentine trivia. There were at least 12 saints named Valentine in the Catholic church. The feast day celebrates the third century “Valentinius” whose skull is enshrined in Rome. (See today’s “Wizard of Id” comic) The romantic tradition began in the 14th century, mostly made up out of whole cloth by Geoffrey Chaucer.

It is supposed to get up to almost 80 today. We’ll see.

Good morning, Vagabonds. I shouldn’t complain, but we in Florida are getting the tail-end of the blizzard you northerners are having and we barely have in-door heating. How are you doing, Florchi?

Howdy, tis Sunday morning again..Another week closer to spring. One little degree this morning. (could be worse).Jan aced it..Red Skelton was the Clown Prince of Comedy (who’s this Edwards dude).Mel Blanc did almost every voice for Warner Brothers “Bugs Bunny” and related cartoons. I would recommend “Bugs Bunny Superstar” a documentary on the Warner Bothers cartoons..Hi Ho Silver, away, ended every show, preceded by the question..With a click of the heels and she was home..The word man in the phrase was seen as sexist by some, but I think the word man in this case referred to mankind, or the race of man..Must go, I get ready for Church soon..ttfn

    Good morning, Vagabonds,

Snowed a skiff this morning. Other than that, we are in great shape.

How are you doing, Arthur? I just can’t believe how much snow you are getting!!!! I saw the big snow melting machine on the Weather Channel. What a great idea! Hope you are well.

    Good morning, Vagabonds.

Mark, Blake Edwards was a writer and producer (he died in 2010). Among other things, he produced the Pink Panther movies. He was known for his romantic comedies and was married to Julie Andrews.

Off to church. Can you believe it? Shirtsleeves and sandals in February!

Hello Vagabonds:Jan: At least you can get to church. It looks like the storm is over as far as snowing is concerned but the wind is still howling. Not going to go out to snow blow until is dies down some. I don’t want it filling behind me. Storm was not as bad as they thought it would be but we still had 12 inches of snow. On top of part of my fence there must be 18 inches. The fence is 6 ft. tall and there is only 1 ft. showing.Winter is usually not this bad. This is turning into a unusual year. Happens every so often. Can’t do any thing about it except move and that isn’t about to happen. My wife says that the only way she is going to leave this house is feet first. All have a nice day and enjoy the holiday.
