    In the strips, the parents were never seen, but they did talk normally. “Lucy! You share those crayons with your brother!” is a classic example. This line is followed by her mom saying that it’s always nice to share your things.

    As a child my mom had no trouble getting me into the bath.She had trouble getting me out.Bath time was play time.

    Although it didn’t happen very often, Schulz never completely abandoned adults speaking off-panel. There’s a Sunday strip from the mid-90s where Charlie Brown’s dad speaks to Snoopy.

    Yeah….I heartily acknowledge Bill Watterson’s (Calvin-n-Hobbes) genius, but I have to believe these early Charlie Brown strips were inspirational for him.

    In the last panel he looks a bit like Stewie from Family Guy.
