Coming Soon 👀 At the beginning of April, you’ll be
introduced to a brand-new GoComics! See more information here. Subscribers, check your
email for more details.
That sounds like this winter here. Unless we suddenly get some real snow in the next few weeks, snow that slowly melts in the spring so it saturates into the ground rather than a fast melt that just causes flooding potential, we’re probably gonna be looking at potential drought conditions later this year.
There’s a much later strip where CB sees a flake fall and everybody starts running and yelling, “It’s snowing! It’s snowing!” and there’s that lonely little flake sitting on the ground all by itself.
Here on the CT coast we’re looking at 5"-9". It was in the 50s yesterday; it’s warm-ish today and will be warm tomorrow. The snow will be heavy and wet, but I won’t touch it, and it’ll be gone by Sunday. And today I get to telecommute, so there’s not even a problem traveling. And it’s easier to comment on comics.
When we were kids we never made nearly that much of a production over getting dressed to play in the snow. We were colder and wetter, true, but we beat the melting!

and Calvin once said “getting an inch of snow is like winning ten cents in the lottery”

I thought I’d check out this strip as one of my favourites, but it’s in colour. I can’t stand it!

This one would’ve worked better as a Sunday page.(I know, he hadn’t started doing them on Sundays yet)
