If I am gone during the treat time at my house, when I get home I am “herded” into place by my 5 cats meowing at me for their treats. It is doubly funny if I am on the phone with someone and they hear the kitties and ask what is going on. After everyone gets their treats the silence is deafening.

My cat always wants to know what I’m eating, and goes crazy for the oddest things. Her favorites are hummus and Grape Nuts with almond milk.

Just wanted to agree – this strip has also become my favorite. Thanks, Ms. Dunn

I, too, love buttercream icing – don’t want any other! By this time, there WERE 11 cupcakes on the kitchen counter. News reporters have to eat too.

My late Toshie didn’t beg for treats or what was on my plate. I would be eating and suddenly she was on my plate, eating too! Didn’t matter what it was, she wanted it. Max poor baby was too dumb to know what was going on, when offered a treat he would hesitate, and Toshie would swoop in and no treat for Max!

I had a kitty who was batty about green olives with pimentos in them. He would try to take it out of your mouth. I had a frosted German chocolate cake sitting on the counter and he licked half the frosting off. He was a nut.

That reminds me of the plate of Turkish Delights a friend of mine kept on her dining table to graze on. The powdered sugar kept vanishing due to humidity so she re-sugared them every day for a week. Three guesses as to where that ‘humidity’ came from and all guesses except kitty tongue don’t count.

Paw tapping my arm. “Whatcha got there? Is it for cats?” My cal likes to lick out the yogurt container or share the last teaspoon of milk from the cereal bowl.

Why do they call the people “the man,” “the woman,” “sir,” and “ma’am”? I thought they called everyone “slave(s).”

This beautifully drawn comic has quickly become my favorite. I don’t see anyway to like or reply to the other comments here. Miscreant1, you cracked me up! I guess I always thought of herding my cats, instead of vice versa. But it’s only at dinner time, as some eat faster or slower, Sylvia is chubby so gets a little less, etc. I had 5 also. Sadly lost 2 of them to old age recently. Sarah i am sorry that happend
