I don’t get it. But, then I don’t get dogs - my cats won’t let me.

I’m not familiar with the various canine instruments. Who’s playing “basset hound”? Do great danes make for good tenors?

Was there fierce competition for the wood/wind section? First howler? Second yapper?

For a piece like this, I imagine there’s no need for a whelper. Or, is the term whelpist?

Since they are all neutered, I assume they will all sing soprano?

They’re not ALL castrati, mancocapac; Poo Poo, for one, is intact. Still, it’s hard to imagine that he’d be singing basso profundo…

(Also, I think it’s been established that Hudson has pedigree papers. That doesn’t necessarily mean he’s shown competitively, but if he is he’d have to be unaltered as well.)

@ Tigger. That’s a good story, but I’ve read it in Reader’s Digest too. Maybe he sold the story?

That salesman reminds me a lot of Robert Crumb - don’ t know if that was intentional, but it’s funny!
