Hope the parents caught Alice watching that movie; a mind that young wouldn’t understand what its plot was and all that.

I love Viola’s look of stunned bewilderment in that last panel. Maybe it will even get her off of the Potterpoop for a while.

Based on that line, it may well have been far too tame a movie to require any difficult explanations.

I’m betting that it is a real line from a real movie; but I cannot identify it. Alice has presented the gila monster with surprising grace and aplomb, leaving Viola somewhat at a loss for a response, quite in awe.

It sounds like it was a movie full of powdered wigs and swordfights.

I saw it in a Three Stooges short, with Curly on bent knee, bought a tear to my eye.

Every time she looks at that poisonous reptile, she will think of Alice.

This definitely gives Viola pause to think.

I just Googled it and didn’t find anything. But it certainly sounds good, doesn’t it?

Petey, you better get well fast!!! Alice will have you in so deep, you won’t be able to get out.

Petey’s in beeg trouble

I am so proud of Alice. I knew she would give credit (for the gift) where credit was due. And remembering that quote from which ever classic movie …… But now, the thot plickens.

Back when she was about nine or ten, my granddaughter almost made me wreck my car with what she was saying in the back seat. First, she got hold of her friend’s cell phone while her friend was on a call. Then she started throwing down: “Jason? Jason! Jason, will you listen to me!? You want to make an impression on her, this is what you do. Listen to me! You go out and get a dozen roses; then you replace one with a fake rose. Then you give them to her with a card that reads, ’I’ll love you till the last rose dies.’ That’s how you do it.”I looked over at my wife as if to say, “Where in the world did she get that!?” She looked back as if to say, “How the h*** should I know!?” We recounted the incident to her parents; neither her dad nor her mom had any idea where she may have heard that. And she doesn’t remember saying it.
