Ha ha! You’re so cute, Nelson. Stay close by, Earl might need some help with the big words.

Hmmm… you would first have to flip the lenses, or put them on upside down…

Thank Benjamin Franklin (1706-1790) for making bifocal eyeglasses.

Hey, Alex Williamson. Thank John Isaac Hawkins (1772-1854) for inventing trifocal eyeglasses.

Nelson, when you get older, you might get the eyeglasses with or without bifocals.

My mum had worn her last eyeglasses with trifocal (one lens with small bifocals. I still have it in my small curio shelves.

I was about 25 when I shot myself in the eye with a rubberband I was playing with. I went to the ophthalmologist for a scratched cornea, and after he numbed me, he decided to check my vision as long as I was there anyway.

When he was done, he declared I would need glasses to read by the time I was forty. Then he laughed out loud, saying “We get everyone eventually! Bwa-ha-ha-ha-haaa!”

    Sure seems he was right.
