Broomie lives in The Enchanted Forest, not the USA.

What does it matter anyway?

Since she was born well before there was a USA, she got grandmothered in.

She sells sea snacks by the seashore. We saw that just last week. A few weeks earlier, she was selling magazine subscriptions.

Broomie picks up lots of odd jobs here and there, so it should be no surprise when she has cash in pocket or files tax returns…

I wonder, though. If she gets stopped for speeding in Arizona, will her green skin make her reasonably suspect as an illegal immigrant?

Oh, wait. It’s New Mexico that’s the “Land of Enchantment”, not Arizona…

And Gaylord watches her drive off, not at all surprised that she didn’t think to ride her broom there instead of the car.

Wait a minute, you mean she’s sporting green skin when she’s supposed to have a green card ?? ??

In the last month alone, we’ve seen her actually working two different jobs, and applying for another (CIA “mole”). Just because she doesn’t have a regular 40-hour per week occupation doesn’t mean she has no income.

You could say the same thing about John McCain. But I wasn’t aware you couldn’t have money if you weren’t born in the USA.

Joe, those are CANADIAN dollars and dimes. The enchanted forest is just outside Vancouver where Broomie’s family grow “BC Bud” for fun and profit. Her other needs (like the health care that let her live 1500 years) are taken care of by the Communist Government of Canda!
