It’s Friday, which for historic and religious reasons is fish-and-chip night in the North of England.

He’ll be in at eight… and back in the pub at half-past.

Or why not make enough for one and be happy Andy was thoughtful enough to lighten your load for tonight

Flo should save it and eat it the next day… Why be wastefill.

What a terrible spiteful thing for Flo to say!

Andy told her that he would be back at eight for dinner, and she is essentially calling him a liar. What kind of marriage can they have without trust? Since when is a man guilty of an action that has not yet occurred?

Flo definitely needs an attitude adjustment.

jtpozenel, have you never read this strip before? Of course Andy is lying. He won’t be back until around 3AM at which time he will make some kind of lame excuse to Flo for being out late. Vigilante’s suggestion is best: just make enough for herself.

Many of us have asked what kind of a marriage these two have. Most of us wouldn’t tolerate Andy’s behavior for more than a month or so (if that) and kick him out on his rear end, permanently. I suppose Flo is a more tolerant woman than I am, she has been dragging Andy to a marriage counselor for years, not that it has done any good.

Flo, your question is perfect! :-) Andy was just frozen already.

Here’s a idea for Flo: call the pub and order fish and chips and have them serve Andy, this way you’re sure he’ll eat and you won’t have to see him twice in one night.
