GoComics used this as their teaser in the daily notice they sent me… and Elvis was speaking Spanish! in the second panel… as was Carmen in the third one. But yep; they’re “back” in the panaderia…
When I visited a pandería two months ago it was part of a shop that had produce as well, plus tables where you could sit and eat and drink. For all I know this is happening just a few miles from my house.
Okay, my blood pressure is going down. Weasel-boy did not abscond with her.
I still think Baldo and Cruz need to explain to Gregorio that they love and care about Tia Carmen and if Gregorio steps one inch out of line – draws one tear from dear Tia – there is enough room under the roses for ANOTHER failed suitor. (To be said menacingly with one hand pressing Weasel-boy’s neck against the wall and Cruz in the background taking practice swings with a bat.)

All choked up in front of Elvis! Common Carmen, say yes now, ‘cause in a minute you will wake up back at home.

It certainly does look like they are back in the cafe. Someone called this a few days ago. Good job!

I am sure that Tia Carmen feels and dreams like a déjà vu dream.

Proceeding on the assumption that most Hispanics in the US are still Catholic, neither of them would be caught dead in a nondenominal quickie chapel.

I am all giddy !I love Tia Carrmen! She reminds me of my nanny. I wish she finds a companion soon..it would be nice :-)

Elvis has enough appeal to most people that it would be a catholic chapel
