    Its one things when my kids watch “old” movies from my 20s. Its another when I’m working with adults and I realize how old I was when they were born. (Really? You don’t remember the Reagan Administration?)

    I was alive, but too young to be aware of JFK’s assassination. My earliest political memory is the Kent State shootings.

    I was sitting on the floor playing with plastic army men and my mother was ironing when they announced on our black and white TV that Kennedy had been shot. My mother started crying. It was two days before my 6th birthday.
