Frazz by Jef Mallett for March 08, 2015
Transcript:
MEN'S LOCKERS Caulfield: That was a long "quick 200" cooldown. Frazz: I got trapped in my swimsuit by a wet gordian knot. You know, it's tempting to just remove the drawstring. Caulfield: I know. Frazz: You know too? Caulfield: I know now. Frazz: You know what? Caulfield: I know why. Why they don't let people dive off the starting blocks. Frazz: You know... Caulfield: I know, you know?

I’m puzzled by this conversation. (And I thought racers did dive off starting blocks).

I think you should “push off” starting blocks rather than diving. Diving would mean going deeper into the water than a shallow entry.

Unfortunately.

I’m wondering if Caulfield experienced having his trunks ripped off by his dive, or witnessed it happening to someone else. His reaction would suit either possibility.
